16 Nov Lavipharm participates in the 39th Authentic Athens Marathon to support the causes of MDA Hellas – Spreading a message of solidarity and inclusion
Peania, 14 November 2022 – For yet another year, Lavipharm supported the causes of MDA Hellas, Association for the Care and Welfare of those afflicted with Neuromuscular Diseases, with its employees participating as MDA Runners in the 39th Authentic Athens Marathon on November 12 and 13. With a deep sense of ‘fair competition’, social contribution and volunteerism, Lavipharm employees once again disseminated a warm message of solidarity, dignity and inclusion. Among other MDA Runners, as a team, they ran for a common cause: to raise public awareness on equal opportunities for people with neuromuscular conditions to participate in sports.
Lavipharm sponsored its employees’ team in the 5K and 10K races of the Authentic Athens Marathon, where they participated voluntarily, testing their endurance. Most important, they were deeply inspired and motivated by the willpower of MDA members, who participated in custom-made running chairs. On the 5K run this year, the Lavipharm team accompanied Danae. The participation of these people in a running event is an example for those who want to run but believe that they cannot. Because “it’s not how you run – but why!”.
Over the years, Lavipharm has sponsored charitable and social events with the aim of improving quality of life. Through its participation for more than a decade in the Authentic Athens Marathon, Lavipharm actively supports social contribution, volunteerism, and teamwork, while giving employees the opportunity to live the magic of an unforgettable experience like participating in an international sporting event. Even more importantly, it contributes substantially to the efforts of MDA Hellas to raise awareness of neuromuscular diseases, highlighting – with acts of love – the importance of equal access for everyone, including people with disabilities, to activities like road races.
